| From the foot of the locks, tour boats take tourists
on cruises of the Ottawa River. Parks with bicycle and
pedestrian trails skirt the river and canal. The
Parliament Buildings are at the upper left of this
picture. At the upper right are complexes of federal
government buildings in Hull, Quebec. Up the river in the
distance, the river becomes unnavigable for a stretch due
